Author: Zhang Shuhan Date: 2025-11-26

On the morning of November 23, the "2025 ILC Qianhu Science Conference," hosted by the School of Basic Medical Sciences of the Faculty of Medicine, was held at the Ningbo Academician Center on Dongqian Lake. The conference focused on Innate Lymphoid Cells (ILC), bringing together renowned scholars in the fields of life sciences and medicine to deeply explore the innovative applications of ILC in health maintenance, disease prevention and treatment, and drug research and development, thereby establishing a high-level interactive platform for academic exchange and industry collaboration in related fields.

The conference invited leading experts in the field, including Professor Zhong Chao from Peking University, Researcher Guo Xiaohuan from Tsinghua University, Associate Professor Zhu Keke from Tsinghua University, Professor Qiu Ju from the Shanghai Institute of Nutrition and Health, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Researcher Shen Lei from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Professor Peng Hui from the University of Science and Technology of China, Professor Li Yan from Nanjing University, Professor Li Shiyang from Shandong University, and Researcher Xiong Lifeng from Nanjing, to share the latest research achievements and cutting-edge insights on ILC, presenting a rich academic feast for attendees.

Professor Ye Meng, Deputy Director of the Faculty of Medicine, delivered the opening remarks. Attendees also included Jin Xiaofeng, Academic Deputy Director of the Faculty of Medicine, Professor Hou Xin, head of the Basic Medicine degree program, Researcher Fang Difeng from the Department of Pathogenic Microbiology and Immunology, as well as representatives of faculty and students.

During the conference, the experts engaged in discussions from multiple perspectives. Regarding the functional analysis of ILC, they elaborated on the specific mechanisms of different ILC subsets in constructing mucosal immune barriers and maintaining immune homeostasis, revealing the mutual regulatory network between ILC and adaptive immune cells, thereby providing a theoretical basis for intervening in ILC functions. In the exploration of clinical applications, scholars shared research progress on the role of ILC in immune defense against infectious diseases.

The conference effectively promoted academic exchange and industry-academia collaboration in the field of ILC. The Faculty of Medicine will continue to focus on cutting-edge topics in life sciences, advancing research development through deepened cooperation and cultivating medical talent.
