To further deepen international cooperation, expand global perspectives, and attract high-end talent, the Faculty of Medicine recently conducted a series of intensive and fruitful academic exchanges and talent recruitment activities in Singapore. This dedicated recruitment effort not only strengthened research collaborations with universities such as Nanyang Technological University and the National University of Singapore but also successfully showcased the developmental vitality and sincerity in talent recruitment of Ningbo University's Faculty of Medicine, exploring new pathways for the university's international talent acquisition.
The delegation visited the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine at Nanyang Technological University and the National University of Singapore, engaging in in-depth exchanges with over ten renowned scholars, including Academician Kristijan Ramadan, Associate Dean Kevin Tan, and Associate Dean Low Boon Chuan. Through various activities such as laboratory visits, collaborative meetings, and academic seminars, both parties shared the latest research achievements in cutting-edge fields such as tumor immunology, the intersection of artificial intelligence and medicine, immune metabolism, and biomechanics. Preliminary consensus was reached on collaborations in joint research, platform sharing, academic exchanges, and co-organizing conferences. Subsequently, the delegation held two specialized talent recruitment seminars at Nanyang Technological University and the National University of Singapore, systematically introducing the disciplinary strengths, development plans, research platform support, and Ningbo's talent policies and environment, particularly within the Faculty of Medicine. The seminars attracted nearly 50 young scholars, postdoctoral researchers, and senior Chinese professors, fostering a lively atmosphere of interaction.
This visit to Singapore exemplifies Ningbo University's unwavering commitment to promoting open education and actively participating in global talent competition. It not only accumulated valuable resources and experience for the leapfrog development of the Faculty of Medicine but also established a replicable and scalable new pathway for overseas talent recruitment across all disciplines of the university. The next step will involve initiating a new round of global talent planning for the entire university, implementing an international precision talent recruitment plan, and building a regular global talent network to ensure that international talents are "recruited effectively, retained stably, and developed successfully."
