On December 1, marking the 38th World AIDS Day, the Faculty Party Branch of the School of Public Health, Faculty of Medicine, jointly organized a themed awareness campaign titled "Societal Co-governance, Upholding Principles and Innovating, Ending AIDS" at Ningbo Third Technical School, in collaboration with Ningbo Customs, the Zhenhai District Center for Disease Control and Prevention in Ningbo, and Ningbo Third Technical School. The event aimed to unite forces from all sectors of society to promote innovation and development in AIDS prevention and control efforts, enhance awareness and capabilities—particularly among youth—regarding AIDS prevention, and collectively advance toward the goal of "Ending AIDS."
At the event, knowledge points such as the transmission routes, preventive measures, and the latest advancements in AIDS prevention and control were integrated into activities like surveys, informational displays, and knowledge quizzes, providing in-depth education to teachers and students on AIDS prevention. The importance of "early testing, early treatment, and early management" was emphasized. Students actively participated in on-site interactions, gaining a deeper understanding of AIDS prevention knowledge and fostering a sense of health responsibility through quick Q&A sessions and scenario simulations. The event also offered free health consultation services, guiding the public to scientifically understand AIDS and dispel misconceptions and biases.
A special "AIDS Prevention Commitment Signature Wall" was set up at the event, where participants signed their names to express support and commitment to AIDS prevention efforts. Over a thousand informational brochures were distributed on-site, further expanding the reach of the awareness campaign.
AIDS prevention and control is a systematic project requiring the participation of the entire society. This multi-department joint initiative reflects the concept of "societal co-governance" and serves as a vivid practice of "upholding principles and innovating" in the field of public health. The event not only enhanced the public's scientific understanding of AIDS but also strengthened the multi-sector collaborative mechanism for AIDS prevention, injecting new vitality into regional AIDS prevention and control efforts.
