Author: Lü Tong Date: 2025-12-26

On December 24, the School of Public Health convened a meeting of all faculty and staff in Conference Room A202 of Wang Changlai Building to comprehensively summarize the school's work in 2025 and discuss and arrange key tasks for 2026.

The meeting reviewed the main achievements and progress made by the school over the past year in areas such as Party building and ideological development, teaching reform and discipline construction, scientific research and output, and domestic and international exchanges and cooperation. In 2025, with concerted efforts and a pioneering spirit, the faculty, staff, and students of the School of Public Health achieved steady development in talent cultivation quality, discipline influence enhancement, scientific research project breakthroughs, and social service effectiveness.

At the meeting, Professor Xu Jin, Deputy Director of the Faculty of Medicine, comprehensively outlined the school's development direction for the next phase and key tasks for 2026: First, serving strategic planning and advancing doctoral program application with full strength. The application and construction of a doctoral program are the core drivers for the school's leapfrog development during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period and represent the top priority and primary strategic task for the entire school in 2026. The school must concentrate superior resources, align with application requirements, ensure comprehensive and solid progress in the application work, and strive for a historic breakthrough in discipline construction. Second, deepening top-level design and optimizing discipline layout. Initiating and advancing adaptive adjustments to the school's internal departments and organizational structure, aiming to further integrate resources, stimulate disciplinary vitality, and build a more synergistic and efficient development system. Third, focusing on talent growth and implementing the "Supportive" plan. Emphasizing the development of the young faculty team, systematically implementing the "Young Faculty Support Plan," and fully assisting young faculty members in standing out through measures such as building growth platforms, optimizing evaluation mechanisms, and increasing support, thereby accumulating reserve strength for the school's sustainable development. Fourth, strengthening publicity and guidance to shape the school's brand. Further enhancing the level and quality of the school's publicity efforts, showcasing the school's development achievements, academic contributions, and the excellence of its faculty and students through multiple channels and comprehensive approaches, and actively shaping a positive public image and social reputation for the school.

This meeting served not only as a review of achievements and reflection on shortcomings but also as a mobilization and deployment of tasks for the new year, providing direction and building consensus for all aspects of the school's work in 2026.
